Burundi Gishubi

Due to the proximity of Gishubi and Heza to the Kibira forest, these regions becomes war torn during times of conflict, with immense damage to land and infrastructure. When the Long Miles Project starting working with Gishubi farmers, many farmers had already decided to give up due to immense losses suffered. Upon fostering relationships with these farmers, and passing along their knowledge of agriculture, Gishubi farmers began to re-invest in their coffee lands and revitalize their industry. This particular cup, the product of this dedicated project exhibits notes of Black Cherry and Milk Chocolate, with a lingering sweetness.
